CASTLE ŠTERNBERK (19.5 km, 27 minutes by car)

Šternberk Castle, originally a defensive medieval mansion with preserved cylindrical tower and remains of the palace attracts visitors an unusual atmosphere. The charming scenery of the castle and the surrounding park and make today's castle.

Šternberk castle founded in the 13th century Zdeslav of Chlumce and Sternberg, a member of the old Czech noble family. The first written record can be found in a document from 1269.
